There are 2 pairs of columns to each side of the actual fire surround, with a small banister and set of balustrades to each side. These protrude from the fire breast wall about 620mm (24") giving the appearance of a portico.

We woukld consider splitting this as the columns, and "Portico" would make a stunning entrance into an internaal room.
