We hire/rent goods out to customers for various diverse projects, such as Garden Parties, School Plays, Art Projects, Photographic Shoots, Theatre Productions, Weddings etc.
If you need the use of any of our products/goods for a short term this can definitely be a viable option.
How it works
There will be a minimum hire charge of £25.00 per item plus VAT , or 10% of the value of the goods plus VAT, whichever is the greater, for the first week of the hire, with all further weeks being charged at 10% of the value of the goods per week plus VAT
There is a minimum hire value of one full week as detailed above.
After the intitial one week period, then 10% of the value of the product will be charged on a, per calender week basis, (all plus VAT) for following weeks.
If part of a week is involved the part week will be subdivided into 5 and charged accordingly (20% of the weekly rate per day) on a per day basis.
A deposit/payment will be made by the hirer for the full value of the goods (including VAT), and will be taken prior to collection or delivery of the goods, with cleared funds, and the hire/rental value/cost will eventually be taken from that deposit upon the return of the goods, in the same condition as they were when collected/delivered. A refund and credit note will be given for the difference between the value/cost of the rental term and the deposit paid.
We take most major debit/credit cards and it is normally simpler to use this method of payment with this type of transaction
If cheques are used they have to have 7 days for clearance prior to release of the goods.
We, with the hire/rental agreement, make a list of the goods which you require along with details of any existing defects, and in some instances take photos of the goods prior to commencing hire. This is essential as some of the goods, due to the very nature of them being reclaimed or second hand are not in perfect condition.
A delivery and collection charge will be applicable for all hired/rented goods and prices can be given upon application. These are one off charges and are all payable 100% in advance. No refunds will be given on delivery or collection charges
Please note that if delivery is required it can take up to 7-10 days to achieve delivery due to being continually very busy.
The hire date commences from the date of collection/delivery, or payment of the deposit whichever is the earlier.
N.B.
As we do not know how, or where, the hired goods are being used, please note that we cannot be held responsible for any damage, or injury incurred to any third party, any other person's, or company's property, or person, and that this is the sole responsibility of The Hirer once they have taken delivery of the hired goods.
It is recommended that the goods are insured by The Hirer.
If the goods are returned/collected in a condition that is not the same as, and in a worse condition as the defects list and photographs, which forms part of the hire agreement this might reslut in the customer either having their refund reduced, or having no refund at all, depending upon the condition upon it's return.
The decision on the whether the goods are returned/collected in a worse condition is at the sole discretion of The Hirer ( The Cotswold Reclamation Co.Ltd).
